What did we think?

Anthony Sherratt said: This really shouldn’t work. On paper it’s just a collection of cute cat videos – almost an internet cliche – collected and presented on the big screen. And yet, it’s relaxing, funny, entertaining and doesn’t require any thought. It’s an unexpected delight of expermental cinema. And the cherry on top is that proceeds go to shelters and charities so you’re ‘feline’ good when you leave the theatre. 7/10

Sam Donaldson said: CatVideoFest is a compilation of cat videos (sometimes captioned, sometimes with music) that simulates the feeling of scrolling through Instagram while ruining your sleep patterns. Thankfully, in the age of AI, there’s no fabricated video amongst these. What can I say? Cats are cute and funny and it’s 70 minutes of cats being cute and funny. It’ll play well with an audience and it’s family friendly. 6/10
