Bullet Train movie review

Does it go off with a bang? Or is it shooting blanks?

What’s it about?

Brad Pitt stars as Ladybug, an unlucky assassin determined to do his job peacefully after one too many gigs gone off the rails. Fate, however, may have other plans, as Ladybug’s latest mission puts him on a collision course with lethal adversaries from around the globe – all with connected, yet conflicting, objectives – on the world’s fastest train.

What did we think?

Anthony Sherratt says: Bullet Train is an absurdist romp that is pure comic book adventure. As such, it comes with heavy pros and cons. Don’t expect a high level plot or award-winning performances. What you do get is an over-the-top, wise-cracking and very gory story that gradually comes together as they speed along the track. Some great cameos make up for the lack of depth. It’s not a great movie, but it is great fun.

A fun film that moves as quickly as the name suggests. Cameos. characters and charisma galore!
