A 20-something, relationship souvenir hoarder/art gallery assistant gets dumped and is inspired to create The Broken Hearts Gallery, a pop-up space for the items love has left behind. Word of the gallery spreads, encouraging a movement and a fresh start for all the romantics out there, including herself.

What did we think

If Instagram and all your fave opshops had a baby and that baby was a movie, it would look like this…

Overflowing with playful props and well written jokes, this rom-com had me giggling all the way. However while the comedic points HIT, the emotional points fall flat; skimming over moments that could have (with a touch more heart, better timing or attention) made us really feel. This non-committal trend snowballs, making the major low point in the story come off as extremely forced, as if it’s just there to get us from A to B.

    3 Stars.
