Anthony Sherratt says: The poster tagline proclaim this is “the epic conclusion” and to be frank I hope that means there are no more because Jurassic World Dominion is terrible. Getting the casts of both the original trilogy and the new trilogy together was a great idea. The dinosaurs are still interesting. But you actually have to a plot and not give every single good character plot armor. Seriously, what little story there is feels like it was written by committee and that none of them had writing experience. 

It’s as if they don’t realise the charm of the original movie was the human characters but for every movie since the first they’ve put the dinosaurs first and have suffered for it. 

Quite frankly they would have done better to just re-release the original Jurassic Park movie for another cinematic run than this drivel.

3/10 and that’s only because of Jeff Goldblum getting a full point by himself.

The original Jurassic Park brought dinosaurs back to life with dynamic action and adventure. Jurassic World Dominion heralds their celluloid extinction with a whimper. 

The original Jurassic Park was beloved for being innovative, scary and fun. Jurassic World Dominion is pandering, predictable and dull. 

Jurassic World Dominion follows Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Ghosbusters Afterlife into the annals of movies created by film executive committees: it has everything you (think you) want, but fails to deliver any semblance of emotional satisfaction, sucking out every shred of potential to leave an uninspiring, lifeless corpse. 

1 star out of ten (for Jeff Goldblum’s witty quips and the feathered dinosaur sequence – most of which are in the trailers).
