  1. Foreign Language films have always been a tough sell for mainstream moviegoers. But if you can make it through the language barrier, Cold War will delight. This black and white Polish film is a work of art from top to bottom. While not a musical in the traditional sense, Cold War is simply a great movie. It follows a couple across both sides of the Iron Curtain as they deal with their musical careers and personal relationships. Joanna Kulig stuns as the romantic lead Zuzanna as does Tomasz Kot as her lover Wiktor. Paweł Pawlikowski’s direction is simply stunning and despite the film’s title is incredibly warm. Cold War gives you the comfort of something you have seen 100 times yet at the same time feels completely fresh.
